The main search bar allows you to query the manuscript texts directly. You can choose to search in all sections or narrow it down to a specific category using the dropdown menu.
The search supports Regular Expressions (Regex) for advanced queries. Examples:
kuśi.* finds "kuśinagara", "kuśinagare", etc.(dharma|dhama) finds either "dharma" or "dhama".bah[uo] finds "bahu" or "baho".For more information, see, for example, the CoderPad Guide.
Use the metadata fields to search for persons, locations, or texts. You can combine the top search bar with the bottom filters (e.g., search "kuśi" in the text and filter by city in the place field).
human, suprahuman, or buddha.monk donor will find persons who hold both roles.people (e.g., Licchavi), clan (e.g., Śākya), or school (e.g., Sārvastivāda).
region, city, monastery, stupa, or mountain. Use specific to find only specific locations or buildings.text to find all mentioned text titles. Type a specific text title using the text search field above to see if it exists in the corpus.colophon to find relevant text passages. Combine it with a text search for a specific content.
